1. Bookings
1.1. An accommodation booking fee is required
for all bookings.
1.2. Once the booking form is received, a
provisional offer will be sent matching the requirements. If an exact match is
not possible, the student will be informed of the best accommodation available.
1.3. The booking fee and accommodation fees can
be paid only after all conditions are agreed to.
1.4. The family address will be given when the
whole payment is received.
1.5. The minimum stay is one week.
2. Payments
2.1. All payments must be made in full at least
two weeks before the home stay start date. Failure to do so may result in
cancellation of the booking.
2.2. Students who come for more than six weeks
will be asked to pay the first 6 weeks in advance. The rest can be paid on a fortnightly
basis after arrival.
2.3. For security reasons we only accept bank transfers.
2.4. A
student is responsible for all bank transfer fees.
3. Cancellations
3.1. If a student cancels accommodation two or
more weeks before the home stay start date, we will deduct the £35.00
accommodation booking fee. The rest will be refunded.
3.2. If a student cancels accommodation less
than two weeks before the start date, fees will be not refundable or
transferable.
3.3. Refunds will be made by bank transfer
only.
3.4. All cancellations must be received in
writing.
3.5. Student Accommodation Services reserve the
right to cancel the bookings if as a result of unacceptable student behaviour.
No refunds will be made.
4. Homestay
4.1. It is a student's responsibility to inform
their host family about the arrival date.
4.2. Twin/ Double rooms will be arranged only
if two people travel together.
4.3. If students wish to change host family,
then one week's notice is required.
4.4. There will be no refunds if a student leaves
the home stay before the agreed end-date or if a student refuses to accept the
accommodation booked by Student Accommodation Services.
4.5. The student is responsible for all damage caused
by him/her in the host family's house. Repairs or replacements should be paid
by students.
4.6. Student Accommodation Services reserve
rights to change a homestay at any time.
5. Airport transfers
5.1. All airport transfers have to be paid in
advance.
5.2. Airport transfers fees are non-refundable.
5.3. Student Accommodation Services takes no
responsibility for incorrect information given by students that may cause misunderstandings.
A driver will wait up to 60 minutes after the expected arrival time. If
students arrive later, no refunds will be given.
